i know, lame title. took me awhile to get the color to "pop" like i wanted. im sure there's an easier way of doing this "trick", but i probably did it the hard way. if you want this effect in your pictures you need photoshop, your picture, then desaturate it, then use the history brush tool to erase the black and white areas you want to be in color, last, be patient.

Do you do this with layers in Photoshop? /you would desaturate the background layer and on the second you can erase the areas you don't want color and also control the transparency to determine how much color comes through--
